FMP 8.5 adv, Win XP I know how to use a compound key in a relationship. So I can have several values in a field, delimited by a rtrun. Then create a relationship so that when I type a value the relationship will be true for any of the values of the compound key. What I want is the reverse. The user enters any number of codes (standing for persons) in one field, delimited by something. And for every valid code he gets the result from the second table. The second table has to contain two field, the codes and the result. So I have a table containing this (two fields) Me Ursus Neigbour Inigo Dog Tosca Mother MrsK now when the user enters: Me; Dog The result shows: Ursus; Tosca How can I achieve this? Thanks Ursus |

Remi-Noel, I must have been fast asleep when I wrote the fiorst question. But with FM8 a one-to-many relationship works backwards aswell (A many-to-one relationship). Nothing special to set up, just one calc field using the list function. Ursus "Remi-Noel Menegaux" <rnmenegaux_AT_free.fr> schreef in bericht news:45abd723$0$292$426a74cc (AT) news (DOT) free.fr...
