Default return character - 06-24-2005 , 12:53 AM

Hello All,

I have a script that loops through a found set of records adding a
calculated field (seperated by the return character) to a global field. I
then do a find for one record and export the global field.

I develop on a mac and all works fine. When my client runs the script of
her Windows box an extra return character is added in the middle of the
calculated field. I dont know why.

Can anyone advice on any differances of how FileMaker's return character
is understood by Mac's and Windows..?

thanks..

ta,

If it's only one extra Return character in the middle of the exported
field, then my first guess would be that there's a blank record (or at
least a record with the field being added being empty) somewhere in the
database.
