Neither 'Send Apple Event' nor ''Perform Applescript' are available on PC
versions of the application. There's no way you can build this project
without developing it on a Mac, because you will need to make calls to the
OS, either through AS or through the Troi FIle plugin (used to manipulate
external files). Those calls will involve pathnames, which are constructed
differently than they are on a PC.

Hello,

I am doing a database for a non profit org. who uses Macintosh (and is far
away), but I myself only have a PC installation available.
I need to send some simple (I assume) Apple Events to do file
copy/move/delete and folder create/delete/rename on the MAC, sometimes
using
a file path stored in a field. Could someone please send me a reference or
a
sample file or something that can help me do this where I am. I do not
have
the "Apple Events Reference" database - perhaps it only installs on macs?
As I have understood it, I must use Apple Events, since I can't write
Apple
Scripts on my PC, right?

If you have a file to send, please use the adress

, but remove the two 'Q's.

Thanks

Andreas
