Hi again. Okay, my latest thing is implementing a technique described in "Using FMP 8" and the "White Paper for Novices" that allows you to select a portal row (a related record) and then display & edit the contents of that record outside of the portal, as well as create a new related record of the table that is displayed in the portal. "Using FMP" sorta glosses over it, and it's not in the CD examples. It seems that they are saying that you want to create a new table of the type displayed in the portal, whose fields are the i/o panel. Once the record is committed, it is copied into the original table. There are also some bits on maintaining the correct row hilites. An example would really help, as it's not clear (to me) how to implement this properly. Anybody got one? Thx. --------------------------------------------------------------------- [Image] |
