This is one of those little annoyances that are usually just below the threshold of finding out what in the hell the story is :-) In Layout mode, how can you predict what the format of the next object you create is? Most of the time it appears to be the same format as the last modification to the last object you created... except sometimes :-) Here is the rule I have figured out so far: - If you don't want it to be the same format as the last object, it will be - If you do want it to be the same format as the last object, it won't be Has anyone figured this out? |

You set the default parameters by deselecting everything (click on a blank area of the layout) and the adjusting the parameters. New objects should now take on those parameters. I have done this. However, the next time I create a field and change something about it, the default seems to change to that. Am I missing something? To duplicate an existing object either select it and hit Command D (Control D on PC?) or hold down the Option (Alt on PC?) key and drag it to a new location. A duplicate will be made with the same parameters when you release the mouse button. This one I understand and frequently use. Thanks, Steve Try clicking the actual tool and then describing the attributes. |
