Is there a way to get proportional dimension adjustment on more fields,

I get three fields, all as large as window, and I want that all three
will become greater if I drag my window's corner, without that one will
cover the other... is this possible with FileMaker 9? And with 11?
You could check the window size within a script and could change the
zoom level.
However, typical zoom steps are 100%, 150%, 200%, but not the continous
amount that you look for. |
I don't think that solves the problem. That will scale everything on the
layout (enlarging the text and images), not just the height and depth of
the Fields.
Plus, unless something has been fixed, Zoom is horrible and rather useless
- mainly thanks to buggy / incorrect scaling, especially with fonts. A
Field that fits 10 characters of a fixed-width font at 100% zoom suddenly
fits only 9 at 150% zoom and 11 at 50% zoom.

If that's a must for you, you could create more layouts with larger
fields and change layouts by window size. |
I thought I had read somewhere a while back that newer versions of
FileMaker had gained this type of "fluid layout" ability ... or was that
just locking a field to a certain side of the window?
