From what I can tell, these problems don't occur when the file is opened without FileMaker Server. |

CORRECTION BELOW: Client version 8.5v1 OS Version Windows XP Pro Server Version 8.0v4 File upgraded within the past year from 6.0. The printers keep going wacko. * Sometimes you tell it to print to printer A, but it insists on going to printer B * I choose Printer A in Print Setup, but Print shows printer B * Changing the windows default printer sometimes temporarily fixes the problem so that you can print to printer B, but then selecting printer A prints nothing and nothing appears in the print queue. * I print 300 labels, it prints to record 60 or so and decides it's done. These problems occur whether opened locally or thru FileMaker Server. This only happens in FileMaker, no other programs are having this problem. Ideas please? I'm going out of my mind. JG |

JG Interesting, and cant really say--never run into the problem. im sure someone else will have a better solution... however, out of curitosity sake, what happens when you wrap this in a 'get found record' ? i.e. if the count really errors out at 60, can you refresh the layout to 'preview' and rerun the print options from where you left off (e.g. 61?) and loop until last record (or 120 if its incremantal counts of 60 that matter...in which case you could use some modular operator in a calculated global field)? quite a hack, but with nothing else to offer, just a thought... sg |

I'm having a similar problem. Printed fine for 3 days but now print takes me to a "save as" box. It always prints to a file, No matter how I change it back to use the network printer. |
