Default Printing individual record - 10-23-2006 , 10:32 AM

I can't seem to find anywhere in the documentation where I could get an
individual record to print. Does anyone know how to do this? I can print
summaries but not an individual record.

If you can see the record, you can print it. Make sure it's selected and
use the option that says 'print the selected record only' (not sure
about the wording).

That is the problem, when I select print it starts to compile hundreds
of pages that is all the records. I can't seem to find a dialogue box
for selecting one record to print.

If you have an drop down field labelled "copies and pages" or something
similar, click on it and choose "Filemaker Pro" in order to get the
options.

Workaround: find all the records, omit the record you want to print,
then show omitted records only. Now the found set consists of this one
single record and you don't need to set the option when printing.

It depends on what operating system you're using, but the option will
be somewhere in the Print window ... unless you're using a custom
button in which case it may well run a script that doesn't display the
Print window at all and simply prints the whole lot.
