Does any plugin exist that does the following:

Makes a window system-modal.
Also, hides the undesireaable window elements for a fully customed look.

To go one further, is there anything that does the following:

Facilitates a toolbar-like window to sit locked on either of the four
sides of the screen, cutting into the screen real estate so that no
application will be hidden by it, or sit over top of it? (I'm meaning
like DDC Testing software if anyone's familiar with it.)

The reason I wondered, was that I was thinking how great it would be if
you could make computer application tutorials using Filemaker. I know
the first thing I listed can be done with a Flash add-on, but to do the
same sort of thing in Filemaker would take a fraction of the development
time (especially if you wanted it driven by a database for the tutorial
steps).
