Hello,

Can you help me make a button that opens a specific excelfile based on
a value in a field.

My table has a field witch contains a serial number. Changing a
'costumer' wil give me another SN,etc...

The excelfile is on a usb-stick and has that same serial number.
But the stick contains many excel files with all of them there specific
SN name.

Thus there should be a kind of link between the field and a external
file.

I'm rather newbie so explanations should be detailed ?

Before anyone can help you need to let us know which platform you are
using, MacOSX or WinXP, and what version of Filemaker Pro you are
using. How Filemaker interacts with other files is very dependent on
the version and platform.
