anyone know a way I can open a bound solution? there used to be a way of paying filemaker to open it ......I mean REALLY bound |

Those data files can easily be opened in a normal version of FileMaker by using the Open command in the File menu rather than simply double-clicking it ... as long as they're not password protected to prevent you doing that. If the files are password protected (with or without being bound into a standalone solution), then you need the person who developed the solution to give you the password and allow you access. If you are the developer and have simply forgotten your master password, then you should really be much more careful. There are a couple of pasword "cracking" applications around that some people have had success with, but the only ones I've ever tried have failed on FileMaker 6 files. Helpful Harry Hopefully helping harassed humans happily handle handiwork hardships ;o) |

I have found the password, but it still does not allow many of the editting features such as layout ect..... any ideas? |
