Default Number showen in cells - 01-04-2007 , 03:55 AM






Hallo,

I have made a new database in filemaker.
But when i use the database, and make new data, in a number of cells ar
numbers showen.
I don't know wath i have done wrong and hope to find a answer true this
group.

Somebody who can help me out please?

You have nearly all of your fields defined to auto-enter a serial number on creation, including what I would assume are supposed to be text fields.

Go into your field definitions and eliminate that option, and everything should be OK.

On another note:

Why oh why are you using so many repeating fields instead of a related table?

I am a brandnew newbe in the use of filemaker.
And the first ( in this moment it seemes the easyest) way of making enough
cells was this way.
That is the only reason.
