Default Next record? - 06-10-2005 , 10:04 AM

Hello.
I am using FileMaker Pro 7.03 on OS X 10.4.1 running on a G3 iBook. For
some reason the ordinary keyboard shortcut for next/previous record,
i.e. Control Up/Down, does not seem to work. Any ideas...?

My keyboard setting is Finnish, with Japanese input (Kotoeri)
occasionally enabled.

Any help much appreciated.

Best regards,

Maybe it's a language setting that takes a different keyboard layout?

How about ctrl-tab and ctrl-shift-tab?
You're right** thank you! The shortcuts for next/previous record work as
usual if I use (for example) the British keyboard layout. Most annoying,
though, since I need features from the Finnish layout on a daily basis.

If any Finnish or Scandinavian users (the problem persists at least with
the Swedish kbd layout as well) have found solutions, I'd be happy to
hear.

Just make two buttons within the layout, doing this function for you.
Much more easy is using a mouse with a scrolling wheel. Turning the
wheel up and down is just scrolling within the records previous and next
up and down. At least with a Windows machine.

I guess a mouse with a scrolling wheel is doing the same on a Mac as a
friend of me uses a mouse with a scrolling wheel on a Mac, (but don't
use FileMaker).
