Default newbie reporting question - 09-02-2005 , 01:41 PM

Hello, Longtime MS Access user trying to get around FM7. I have a
computer inventory database that spans the whole state that I want to
print reports for. I only need the report by a certain city not the
whole state. In Access we had queries, but how do I create a layout
with just 1 city.

Presumably there is a field for City.

Do a Find for the city of interest. That will take care of it.

In FM, queries are called "Finds" and the same layout screen (form) can
serve to display any number of found sets.

Set up the fields you want to display in addition to the City field,
then do the Find, and display the results on that report layout.
