Default newbie - FMPro Web Companion - no show - 08-05-2003 , 08:11 AM

OK, I have followed intructions in the FMP Developer's and User's manuals.
Simple scenario. I'm using the "Contact Management Solution" sample database
that came with FMP6 Dev to attempt implementing web access (intranet only).

I have installed and enabled the Web Companion and set up sharing for the
database. When I attemp to access the file from another computer on our
intranet all I can see in the browser in the 'default.html' page. When I
look in the c:\prog files\fmp6dev\web folder I only see the one file. It is
not clear but I suspect that the instant web publishing feature is supposed
to create additional html pages and place them in this folder.

What have I overlooked?

From memory, you need to set the Application preferences correctly
as well...

How are you viewing this file??
Should be like http://ip.address/

Well, no actually. It creates pages as required on the fly. Just
not very well, in my opinion.

Cheers
