Default Networking - 07-01-2007 , 09:25 AM

Dear all!

I work with FileMaker Pro 5.5 (Windows XP) in a local network. When I a
file, my colleques, two in number, who share the network are not able to
work with the same file. Why we are not able to work with the same file at
the same time? Where is the problem?

Thanks in advance

Open the monu sharing and check the settings. Filemaker network sharing
must be on.

Put the file on your local computer and open the file. Now your
collegues shoudl be able to open the file as guest using the open remote
command (or press "hosts" in the open file menu.

1. Must use FileMaker network sharing, which is built into FileMaker. Do
not use operating system network sharing.

2. Each user machine must have a separate FileMaker license.

For more info, see the on screen FileMaker Help file, under Network
Sharing.
