Default moving data up - 01-25-2007 , 05:32 PM

I hava data bases in Filemakder Pro 6 and have wanted to move up to
newer versions of FMPro.
Now I see that the upcoming FMPro 9 will not accept baaes from FMPros
6,
Is there anyway to move my data from 6 to any highter FMPro?

You can't convert to a higher version file without the higher version application. Unless you know some kind soul who would be willing to take a few seconds to do it for you.

First time I've heard that rumor; seems to me FMI would be shooting itself in the foot if they did that (though the parent firm has been known to do it on occasion). There are a LOT of people out there who would locked out of upgrading to 9 if that's true. Where did you hear that?

I think he/she may be confused by the ThinkSecret rumour (see my new
post) which states that thay're tyring to get an object scaling feature
to work with FileMaker 7, 8 and 9 files ... it does NOT actually say
FileMaker 9 won't open FileMaker 6 files though.
