Default mass input - 01-24-2007 , 12:38 PM

I have a number of records which have an empty field. How do I input the
identical info. into that field in all these records, other than manually?

Regards
Eileen

Put your input in one field, dlick into it and choose the replace
command in the reocords menu. You will be promptet. Make sure all the
records you want to have the value are in the found set.

Perform a find in that field using " @* " the At symbol asterisks will
pull up all records that have data in that field, then under records,
select SHOW OMITTED.

All the ommitted records should show all the records that have the
empty field. Then type in that field what you want. Keeping your
cursor in that field, go to RECORDS , Replace Field Contents, you'll
get a dialog box verifying you want replace the contents of "fieldname"
with the data you just typed in.

Its pretty easy but can be very dangerous if your cursor wanders into
another field. I always read that dialog box to make sure its the
right field and right text I want to use.

Good Luck !!
