Overview:

We are looking for a FileMaker developer to work on a series of
internal and client-based projects.

We have a FileMaker database solution that we have built from scratch
over the last 10 years. Our database is a key system that the entire
company uses every day. It handles our calendar, estimates, requests,
invoices, timesheets, client information, as well as several other
modules. In addition to access through FileMaker, we have set up web
access for clients and employees to be able to enter and view data as
needed. As we continue to grow, our database needs new features to
allow for the streamlining of the business.

In addition to internal work, we have several clients who have similar
FileMaker needs. Some of our clients have fully developed databases
that are in need of new layouts and reports, while others are just
beginning to create their databases, and need lots of development.

Minimum Qualifications:

* At least 1 year experience working with FileMaker
* Extensive knowledge of proper database design and object oriented
programming
* Ability to work with clients to develop a database solution that
works for them

Desired Skills:

* Knowledge of available features in FileMaker Pro 8.5
* Knowledge of FileMaker Server
* Knowledge of Lasso, PHP, or other web extensions to FileMaker
* Fast learner who can adapt to new technologies

I'm wondering why your Minimum Qualifications include 'Extensive knowledge
of proper database design and object oriented programming'. Filemaker is
hardly an OOP environment.
