Default IWP weirdness - 11-04-2005 , 01:55 AM






I'm experimenting with instant web publishing and FMP8A. I want to
display a list of products. I created a layout to be viewed as list. In
FM it looks and works fine.
But on the web site, when I click a row (fields are not editable, and
there are no buttons), it omits all the records before ("above") that
row. Why on earth would it do that, and is it possible to disable this
horrible behavior?
I thought about using a portal instead (viewed as form), but then the
number of visible records is fixed.

Oh, I just found that "List View displays 25 records at a time and
Table View displays 50."
This is outrageous

Ah, "The current record is always at the top, or the first row."
That would explain my original question...

Yes glorious isn't it. A lot of individulas use portals as work
arounds since record return is limited. Since you are using IWP you
will also have to add scripting to have the records behave as they do
in native FileMaker.
