are there irrregularities with popups in IWP ?

I have noted that a field offering a popup list based on its own
contents or 'from field' seems to work

a more apparently straightforward popup based on a 'custom values'
doesn't, at least in my setup

rather a puzzle

i'm using Safari

has anyone else had this problem and are there solutions
