Default IWP and Firefox - 10-01-2005 , 10:32 AM

I know that IWP is not designed specifically for firefox but a client
really want to use it. I have everythign setup but the buttons don't
work. I get the hand pointer when I mouseover them but clicking does
not do anything. It works fine when I test it in IE6. I was wondering
if there are any plug-ins, extensions or updates for firefox that would
help we with these. Currently I am running FM 7 v1 and firefox 1.0.6.

Thanks
AAron

Make sure you have all the latest patches. They dramatically improve
(but don't quite perfect) Firefox support. It should resolve your button
problem.

I had a similar problem with Firefox except for 1 button that worked... so I
copied that button and replaced the label and script attached to the button
.... voila! the button worked! Oddly all buttons work as expected in IE 6

I have no idea why it worked on the one button ... but if you can get one to
display the "finger" when you have the mouseover the button then you have
been successful in fixing the problem.

Good Luck

I had a similar problem. If the button has an image overlapping / on it,
then you need to make the image respond to any script, as well. I tested
this with the templates and sure enough changing both the button and any
overlapping icon to react to a click did the trick.

PS: This was true in FireFox, Camino, and Safari. IE had no problems,
indicating that the buttons respond no matter what is placed in front of
them in IE.

You can also make the button invisible and place it infront of the image.
