Filemaker 8.5, multi-user, served from a hosting company (ODItech)


I want to narrow down a found set in one table, then import records into
another table within the same file.

What I'm getting is all of the records, not just the found set.

HELP tells me that if the file you are importing FROM is closed that you
will get all records, not just your found set.

Even though the file is open for ME (or presumably other users), I'm
wondering whether technically the file is CLOSED because it's closed on
the server. When I identify the file reference for the source file for
the import, indeed I am using REMOTE and giving a path to the server.

Is my analysis correct?

Is there some way around this, so that I can import a found set?
