Default How do you schedule backups for Filemaker Server 8 - 06-05-2007 , 09:27 AM

Simple yet elusive question. All the answers I find tell me to just
set backups for filemaker Server 8, however I cannot find anything
that explains how to get there. I guess it is assumed I know how and
where to go to set the backups, but I don't. Any help would be much
appreciated, thanks!

On a side note, does Filemaker Server have any sort of Utility screen,
similar to an antivirus screen, that allows you to monitor the
software, set backups, etc.?

You need to run the FMP Server admin app, which is a plugin to
Microsoft Management Console. You'll probably find a shortcut for it
on the system where FMP Server is installed, in your start menu,
desktop, and/or quick launch. Run the admin app, log on to your FMP
Server install, and you'll be good to go.

Hope this helps

The utility you need is called "schedule".
