Default How do I update a bunch of records at once? - 01-25-2007 , 04:53 PM

I have a bunch of customer records and I want to reset all of their
discount levels to "1". In SQL it would be something like:

UPDATE customers SET discount_level=1;

What's the preferred way to do this in FileMaker Pro 8.5?

Regards,
Nate

See "Replacing the contents of a field" in Help

Well that was easy. Thanks!

I promise I really did search help before posting to the list. :-) I
looked for "update" and "SQL" instead of "replace".

Nate

No prob. Help is pretty informative, but only if you know what they call stuff. Sometimes it seems like you need to know the answer in order to ask the question, like a perverted game of Jeopardy.
