Default how do i import to a table - 07-18-2005 , 10:46 PM

really, i did look for this in the help section before i posted.
I have a main database with 170,000 records, fm6 v 4 windows... being served
on server 5.5 or whatever on win 2000 dual sata striped raid, 10 users.....
I bought the upgrade 10 user license to fm7 and the new server, spent over
2,000.00 and then when i converted to fm7 everything slowed down to a crawl,
had to give up on 7 went back to 6...... anyway here we are staring at fm8
and feel like we totally flushed all the money spent on 7..... problem is
this: i converted my main database and am now re creating, field by field
each of the related files in tables inside the main database, but i cant
figure out how to import the data from file "courtinfo' into target file
table 'courtinfo' inside the main database....... its gotta be simple.
please help..... also i am going to wait until 90 days after fm8 comes out
and by 10 sticks of fm8 for $27.00 each on amazon from all you developer
types who dump the free ones you get...... instead of buying the freaking
wad from filemaker at $2000.00 a pop.....

thanks in advance for your help
anthony
