I've seen some solutions that show little snippets off information
upon solution startup. I don't see where these are coming from.
There aren't hidden layouts that I can see or scripts. How are these
created?

They'll often say something like this - "to use this demo, type in the
password ...", whatever. Would like to know how to do that. I've
created "splashscreens", of course, out of a layout that's displayed
but this isn't the same things. TIA.

You don't state version, so answer is on v7 & v8.
Probably from a startscript displaying a custom messagebox. (For earlier
versions it was just messagebox.) Open the file preferences and look which
script is performed on opening. Then go to the scripts and look up that
script. See what is in there.

If you have Developer/Advanced, just turn on Debug Scripts and watch what happens.
