Default Hide Left frame - 09-26-2005 , 03:44 AM

Is it possible to lock the browse, find, layout and not to give access to
other users
Also can I lock the filemaker window so the user could not maximize, or move
the window

That's called Status Area.

Look in Help at the Show/Hide Status Area script step.

There's nothing you can do to prevent a user from moving or resizing a
window, but you can force it back to your preferred size and position with
the Move/Resize Window script step. Write a short script which positions
the window and hides the status area. Perform that script from as many
other scripts as you feel necessary.

You'll also want to take a look at Defining Accounts and Privileges, so
you can prevent someone with a little knowledge of FileMaker from entering
Layout Mode.

You might want to take a look at the 'Security' section of the manual or
help module.

No -- only with a plug-in.

Howard:

Which plug is that?

FMI has once again moved its plugin list.

Not that it was all that up to date to begin with, but I did find it
mostly useful.
