FMP 10 on OS 10.6: I have a text field formatted for Verdana 14 for input. I put the same field as a merge field on a print layout and format the object for Arial 9. Turns out the output is Verdana 14 and formatting the merge field resp. the text object doesn't seem to work. |

When you apply a style to a text selection, such as the choice of a font, this text selection will retain that style when displayed elsewhere, unless you remove the style. The text format of a field is used for the display of unstyled text. So you can have a layoutfield showing this text in one style and at the same time a merge field or second layout field showing this text in a different style. When you just type into an empty field, you see unstyled text displayed in the field's text format. You can change this format using the inspector in layour mode. |
