I put FMS9 on a Windows Server and accessed the service using the
IP:16000 from the local network and from home.

The server is there for everything, not just FMS, and I'm not in charge
of it (I don't know a thing about networks anyway). It seems something
is changed there, I can use the Admin console only if I'm working on the
server machine itself.

Remote access from a local XP machine fails: I can log in, but the app
crashed with un unexplained "exceptional error". If I try from home
using Snow Leopard, I can't even login because of another (or mabe the
same) "unexpected exception" called
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException (text below).

The company has an FMS 10 licence from maintenance, if upgrading to FMS
10 fixes the problem, I'd be happy to do that. Any experiences?
