Default FMPro 8.5, FMPro 8.5 Advanced, Servers, etc... deciding to upgrade from FMPro 6.0 - 11-21-2006 , 02:53 PM

Greetings all,

I'm putting something together for our personnel regarding upgrading to
FMPro 8.5 (especially since support for 6.0 is going away in December!)
Some simple questions follow.

Are the changes made on 8.5 Advanced able to be pushed out onto the
general users on 8.5? I'm trying to determine the logistics of if we
need 8.5 Advanced or not. Can 8.5 Advanced run on an 8.0 server, or
would we need to have 8.5 Advanced server

I'm currently looking over the FMPro web site to find out if this is
possible.

Can I assume then that we can have

* All our users on FMPro 8.5
* Have one copy of FMPro 8.5 Advance for the DBA
* Purchase Server 8.0 (we have over 38 users currently)
---- is server 8.5 Advanced necessary if one is running one 8.5
Advanced?

Thank you for any all clarification or directions to URL's that may
clear this up.

- Teresa K.

Look for VLA vs. SLA (Site Licence agreement) prices. An SLA will allow
to install any Filemaker product on any machine.

No. Both versions will serve both clients.
