fmp8 split function

hi all,
"split" is a basic string manipulation function that I can't find in
filemaker. The only solutions I can put together are very complex. Is
there a preffered way of doing this?

I have a search field and I want to inspect each word entered

eg

"big red bus"

I want to put the 3 words into 3 separate fields.

I think the functions you are looking for are LeftWords, RightWords,
and MiddleWords. Check the help file for more info.
