Default FMP7 on W2k slow - 10-05-2005 , 10:20 AM

Windows 2000, SP4

FMP 7.0v3

Dell GX260 P4 @ 3 Ghz

512 MB RAM

When I have a layout (any layout) in layout mode, when I click on a field
to move it, or when I click on the field button, or when I click and drag
to select multiple items, the system is horribly slow.

If I bring up task manager and observe while I click on items, Filemaker
will use 80% to 97% of the CPU cycles continuously until I release the
mouse.

I think something is wrong...

Bob

They had been at 32 bit. I changed them to 16 bit. It doesn't seem to help.
Do you think my video card drivers are the problem?

Try lowering your video acceleration. That helped for me.

It helped much for my Laptop ASUS with ATI M6 16Mb and Windows XP. I
haven't any other idea. Sorry.
