as far as I remember no, this is FMP 7 and up only,

and please take the time to write your whole question in the body. Much
easier to read. Certainly when the thread grows.

For future references, pls, is this easy to find in FMP7?

When you have a folder fuill of images to import:

goto menu:

File > Import records > Folder
Under "Folder Location" click "Specify" and select the folder where your
pics are
If there any folders in folders select "Include all enclosed folders"
Make sure that under file type the radio button "Picture and movie files" is
selected
and make sure you select "Import only a reference...."
Press continue
match the source to the correct target fields and click import.
When iomporting a lot of pics this will take some time to complete.
