Dear readers,

ever since we used Filemaker, we had some nasty printing problems,
which we could never solve:

What is the current best practice (for FMpro5, Windows xp, HP printers)


1) to get the print preview look the same as the actual printout on the
paper,
(which it never does, particularly with respect to long text fields
which will continue on the next page and line breaks and page breaks)

2) to avoid getting the last printed line on the paper being cut in the
middle of its height
(when we "print" to a pdf-file this doesnt happen, what makes the
difference?)

3) to arrange (a) printer setup, (b) activating page view, (c) goto
layout in scripted printing
