I am looking to hire a Filemaker expert in Austin, Texas to assist me with
the maintenance and enhancement of my existing database systems as well as
the development of new systems. I am too busy to provide the level of direct
support needed so I hope to find someone who can do so under my guidance.
THIS IS NOT A CONTRACT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT * I need someone who is willing
to work onsite in Austin, not remotely, not from home and not from India!
You've got to know your stuff. If your only FMP work has been to build a
sequential database of your DVD collection, then this gig ain't for you. But
if you're intimately familiar with ALL of the following FMP terms and
techniques and more, then you may be The One:
- multi-file, relational databases;
- looping conditional scripts;
- remote FMP server administration;
- portals, buttons and pop-ups (oh my);
- functional and attractive user interfaces;
- complex sub-summary reporting;
- cross-platform database networking issues.
This position will likely include some client interaction, so you'll need to
be a good communicator, able to interact with my staff and clients to assess
and execute their database needs. You'll need to be organized and
methodical, using standard development practices to structure and document
your work.
The exact logistics of this position have yet to be defined. It may be
onsite at my clientıs facilities in South Austin or it may be at my offices
in Central Austin. It might be full- or part-time. It might be
project-by-project or as-needed work. Iım open to discussing the best
arrangement based on your wants and needs, depending on your skills and
qualifications.
