Default FMP 8.5 slow and jerky in layout mode - 04-23-2007 , 08:07 AM

Does anyone else think that FMP 8.5 in layout mode is extremely
"slow?" I recently downloaded the trial version of FMP 8, and noticed
that, when moving layout items, the cursor seems to "stick" and jump
around; movement is not very smooth. I noticed that CPU use spikes
when moving items in layout mode. My computer should be fast enough
(2.0GHz, 1GB RAM, 96MB Intel video card). I have been using FMP 6.0
for a number of years, and it runs fine.

I'm not sure if this is worth calling tech support about. I saw a few
other unresolved posts on the topic, but it's hard to tell if these
are just isolated incidents. Maybe this is typical behavior?

Thanks for your input.
Joseph

Seems to behave that way in Windows. Much smoother on Mac.
