I have just converted my database from FMv6 to FMv7. The whole process seemed to have gone through without a problem until I checked the Scripts menu and noticed that none of the scripts were exported over, the only Script listed was Debug Scripts. Anyone else experienced this problem or know how to get around it? I have got a lot of scripts (around 200), could that be a problem? |

Since you are seeing 'Debug Scripts', you are apparently looking at the Scripts menu and you don't see any of your scripts listed there. But if you open ScriptMaker itself (on the Scripts menu), do you see any scripts or is it totally empty? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Howard Schlossberg (818) 883-2846 FM Pro Solutions Los Angeles, California FileMaker 7 Certified Developer Associate Member, FileMaker Solutions Alliance |

No scripts are listed, not even the Debug Scripts one which appears on the menu. I've tried running it and nothing happens. The conversion document log doesn't mention any errors regarding importing the scripts either. |

Hi Nick, apparently you're using Filemaker Developer : the "Debug Scripts" you see at the top of your list is actually the Script Debugger (part of Developer). If you click on it, it is activated (marked), allowing you to step through scripts one step at a time. Are you sure you have sufficient access privileges for the file ? Converting the file does sometimes produce the necessity to open the converted file with an (empty) password. Are you able to access "Define Fields" ? Check the "Access & Privileges" as well, also in the original file. Regards, Peter |

Look like I'll have to copy them over manually, oh joy! |

I have not heard of any such problems fram any other developers. Try a couple things before giving up: 1) In FM6, try using File > Save As > Clone to generate a possibly cleaner version, and then try converting it to 7. 2) In FM6, try using File > Recover to generate a possibly cleaner version, and then try converting it to 7. |
