Would there be any reasons that Fm 7.0 would open perform scripts and
render layouts faster than FM 8.5 advanced on a local machine?

computer, each version of FM has been slower than the one before it
since at least 3.0.

I'm a little nervous for when I roll out version 8 to all my client
machines, because the people are used to version 5.5 speed.
