I set up a database with a password I do not remember. The database remembers the password so that I can login. I duplicated the file and the duplicate needs the password. How can I find the password? |

On the Mac, FileMaker doesn't "remember thepassword", but it can store it in the Keychain, and recall it from there when you open the database again. You can use Keychain Access in the Utilities folder to locate the keychain entry with thepasswordand display it (for which you need to enter the accountpasswordfor your computer, or your keychainpassword if it is different). I have no idea if there is a similar mechanism on Windows. -- David Empson demp... (AT) actrix (DOT) gen.nz |
