Default FM Server 8 not recognizing files - 12-16-2006 , 02:33 PM

I'm trying to get FM 8 server to host my database that I recently
converted to 8.5 from 6. There are appx. 15 different .fp7 files that I
need to serve. For some reason, FM server only recognizes 2 of these
files as databases, and ignores the others. Each client machine can
load all the files properly and I can even host it via regular 8.5 Pro
to five users (the max) without a problem.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like the files may be "corrupted" take FM developer and do a
recover on one of them and see if that solves your problem.

A recover is NOT going to solve your problems. A recover is meant only to
recover the data in a corrupt file. Although it may appear that the
corruption has been solved it actualy might NOT be solved and re-appear at
any time in any form. When you have recovered a file you should then go back
to a clone which was saved before the corruption occurred, then import the
date from the recovered file and chuck the recovered file out.
