We have a Windows XP Filemaker 6 unlimited user who can't access the
Find/Replace option in the menu because it is greyed out permanently - I
have checked it myself and its true - you click in a text box in browse mode
and the option is greyed out. I can't see how it differs from anyone's
machine (the other users are all using the same database from different
machines and they aren't having the same problem).
So far I've tried uninstalling and re-installing filemaker but it has had no
effect.
Any clues? |
Does this user open the file with a password different from everyone
else's? He may not actually be entering a password, so not be aware that
this is happening. Take a look in access privileges while running the
file. If there are passwords defined, have your user open the file with
the master password (hold down option key while opening the file).
If there are no passwords defined, master or otherwise, I can't help you.
Though you might try having this user be the first one to open the
database, and see if the problem still exists.
