Default FILEMAKER FOR TECH/SCIENTIFIC CALCULATION - 06-30-2010 , 03:47 AM

Anyone here use filemaker to perform technical/scientific data
analysis/calculation?

Any problem with functions or digital precision?

Thanks

LB

FileMaker Pro is a data storage tool and can do simple reports. FileMaker
isn't really a data analysis tool - you're probably better off using Excel
or custome software. Although you can create such a system in FileMaker,
it's usually time consuming and difficult to change, unless your
requirements are very simple.

Their is a precision error/bug that crops up when moving data in and
out of FMP in excel format.
If its a concern you should look in the filemaker tech resources board
for details
