Default Filemaker Pro/Mac help needed - Berks - 01-22-2007 , 05:24 AM

We are a charity based in Reading that needs a database expert who is
familiar with Filemaker Pro 5.5 on Mac OS 10.

We have a book stock database. It is manually updated when we add books to
the stock, or when we sell a book. We also have a bar code scanner that we
want to be able to use for selling and receiving books, i.e identifying
books by barcode and having the database automatically update itself. This
would also be used for the annual stock check. However, we don't know how to
get the database to update from the barcode scanner; we can only get it to
produce a new record every time it scans something.

We therefore require someone who can make this happen and to be available if
problems occur afterwards. We have a small budget to pay someone, if
necessary. Would be able to work from home as we could provide a copy of the
database.

Why don't you search for information within the web, using Google search ?

And start for example with this link :
