I cannot believe it but the filemaker 8 indexing system seems to be
completely bust.

Databases seem to loose there indexes and do weird things. Switching
from minimal to all or to create as needed cures the problem, but then
it reoccurs.

I have implemented a solution to run the core business of a large
company and it is creating havoc with our data.

Am i the only person to experience this problem.

is it a server 8 issue? is it a mac only problem? is it cured by v2
client. should i switch the server to windows?

I find it astonishing that filemaker have not been open about letting
people know that there is a major bug with there software. If i had
known this i wouldnt have implemented this solution and risked my
customers service levels which are suffering from this appauling mess.

Come on filemaker own up and tell us when you are going to solve the
enormous problem.
