Default Filemaker 8 & IIS 6.0 - 06-13-2007 , 08:07 AM

Hi,

I have installed, on a Windows 2k3 Server:

- Filemaker 8 Pro Advanced (to modify my file)
- Filemaker Server 8
- Filemaker Server 8 Advanced (for instant web publishing)

I would like to do:

--> Use my web site (www.mydomaine.com) to browse my bd.

I can use this url: http://localhost/fmi/iwp/...

but I need to reach my bd at home so I would like to use:
http://www.mydomaine.com/fmi/iwp/...

I don't know how to configure IIS to do this.

Somebody know the right configuration ?

Regards,
Dave

This isn't a filemaker question at all.

If you can use www.mydomaine.com to reach your server, then the
www.mydomaine.com/fmi/iwp will work as well. All you need do is map
the domain name/ host name to your server ip address.

If your server is behind a NAT/proxy/router you'll need to map the
domain name to your external ip address, and setup port forwarding on
your NAT to route port 80 (web) traffic from the NAT box to your 2k3
servers private address.

cheers,
Dave
