I've narrowed down the problem we are having with FM7 after an upgrade.

The problem seems to be this:

We have a portal on a form, and a button on the form which ends up
doing a Set Field to the table whose data is shown in the portal. In
version 6, this works fine, but in version 7, the row is created in the
related table, but it never shows up in the portal.

Then, when you try to leave the main record, you get an error because
another field in the portal record is required Not Empty, but since you
can't see the row you can't enter the data or delete the row.

A refresh window doesn't seem to help.

Any ideas?

Does the refresh window with "Flush cached join results" checked work?
Can you set the field by script, commit the record with "Skip Data
Entry Validation" checked, then go to the portal row and put the cursor
in the record so the user still has to fill in the required field?

Flushing the join results doesn't help, although I didn't think of that
second procedure.

I'll give it a shot; as a temporary fix, i just stopped it from
creating the row automatically.
