Default Exporting becomes read only - 02-09-2010 , 02:38 AM

My father has a problem with filemaker, with version 10 is not able to
clone a database in short.

He clones but it's read only, and no way to write in it.
The file cloned was open and with network enabled, could that maybe the
problem?

OS permissions are set fine...

A FileMaker server-hosted file cannot be saved except by a scheduled backup, which will not be a clone.
Is this a single user file?
Is the clone being created using the File > Save a copy as menu?
Clones made this way have no data, but should nonetheless be read and write.
But for this the file must be on a writeable volume - so a CD, for example, won't work...

Please tell us more about the environment and process. Maybe then we can help more.
