Default export field names - 09-02-2005 , 11:06 PM

Can someone please tell me how to export
the field names of a filemaker 5.5 table?
Is the order of the exported field names
the same as that of the exported table data?

thank you very much,

kejun

Export as a merge (.mer) file. Fieldnames are close to actual field
name and yes data is in the same order as field names.

You want just the field names with no data?
Why not just export the field names along with the data?

Try exporting to the .mer format: its a .csv with the a field names tops
row.

Try the .html format: its an html table, excel and web browsers can open
it just fine (contains basic formatting and field names.)

Try the .sylk formt. Excel can open it just fine, contains the field
names iirc.

What exactly do you need?

Thank you, I want both the data and field names. You already solved
my question.
