Default Error Message - 05-15-2007 , 04:05 PM

Hello everyone!!!

I installed FileMaker Pro 5.5 on one of my computers and get the
fallow message when I triyed to open my files:

"The maximum number of licensed users are currently using this copy of
FileMaker Pro. Please refert to the installation Code section of your
Getting Started Guide for further instructions.
Installation code conflict ocurred with user Server.
All files will be closed and the application will quit"

Can somebody tell me how I can resolve this problem?

Thanks

Its saying the license code you used when you installed filemaker pro
5.5 is already in use on the network. Usually this means you've
installed filemaker on two computers with the same code. If filemaker
detects another machine on the network using the same installation
code it gives you the error emssage above.

In your case its saying the machine named "Server" is using the same
installation code.

If you simply goofed and used the wrong install code, reinstall with
an unused one. Otherwise you may have to buy another copy of
filemaker.

Occasionally it also crops up when restarting filemaker after a crash
as it somehow still can see the old instance running. In that case
restarting the afflicted computer(s) resolves it.

Dave
